Dawn Coker

Head of Training (Director)

I am a Learning and Organisational Development specialist with over 20 years’ experience in this field.

My belief is that the biggest asset to any organisation is it, people, without their continuous development a business is likely to fail. This passion has led me to practice what I preach by gaining various psychometric qualifications this has enabled a business to understand the drivers of Leaders and teams and I’ve created many high performing sales and operational teams.

My drive to deliver high-quality apprenticeships which add value to a business and the learner is embodied across my team and delivery partners. Being involved at the beginning of the changes with Trailblazers has provided me with the knowledge of new quality standards.

Developing today's learners into the talent of tomorrow is always at the forefront of my mind.

Christopher Buhagiar

MIS Coordinator

I work alongside Quality and Compliance to make sure data systems are up to date and accurate and reporting systems match the data inputted.

I have worked in Further Education for 12 years working with 16-18-year olds on GCSE and A-Level courses and adult evening courses. Became involved in Train to Gain from 2007 until it ended and then transferred over to the back to work programme and finally apprenticeships, where I have worked for the last 3 years.

Naomi Lawton

Lead Internal Quality Assurer

To ensure quality of provision and quality improvement across the range of programmes delivered. Leading in the delivery of high quality learning and providing robust IQA processes for Apprenticeships and skills, ensuring compliance with the quality strategy. Managing, motivating and developing a team of IQA’s and Assessors to ensure Learners achieve their planned learning aim and make timely progression and achievement. Working closely with Awarding Organisations to ensure the compliance and integrity of qualifications, ensuring the learner journey and qualification experience is enriching and enjoyable for Learners.

I started my journey working in education 15 years ago. Starting as an Assessor, I developed my skills to become a Lead Iqa and am currently working towards my External Quality Assurance qualification. My experience comes through working with private training providers, colleges, and Awarding organisations.

Doreen Hesketh-Calland

Quality & Compliance

Quality system management and contract compliance in regard to learner documentation and completion, auditing, processes and policies.

I have worked in education for 18 years, working with apprenticeships for the past 13 years. In this time, I have worked as a tutor and assessor before moving into a position 10 years ago of quality & compliance management.

Gail Hesketh-Calland

Internal Quality Assurance, Tutor and Assessor

Teaching and learning in team leading, assessment and internal verification of apprenticeships qualifications.

I have worked in education for 19 years and have worked with apprenticeships as a tutor/assessor for 15 years. I have been an IV for 14 years for various courses including admin, customer service, team leading etc.

Chloe Pinheiro

Learning Coordinator

My role as a Leaning Coordinator is to liaise with the employer and learner to ensure all workshops are scheduled on time, and if any prework is sent prior to workshops.

I have worked in event management and coordination for the last 7 years.

I am passionate about training and education.

I feel that I can make a difference in people's lives by showing them they can better themselves and reach their goals.

Donna Shoesmith


An accomplished leadership and HR consultant, with a passion for engaging and developing people and organisations.

Working with SME, local government and Corporate organisations have given me an understanding of the challenges staff face when delivering excellent service on the telephone, staying professional and confident and meeting deadlines and targets through working efficiently and proactively. Responding to changes to their role and being flexible to trying new tasks.

I deliver the Institute of Leadership & Management, level 3 and level 5 management and coaching qualifications.
